Well, it may not be 1001 reasons.....but you get the picture!
Here goes the list of lies, untruths, propaganda unleashed by Separatists a.k.a TRS a.k.a TJAC. Each of them has been proven to be false:
First, they said Telangana is 'backward'
>Sri Krishna Committee spent almost a year touring the entire state of Andhra Pradesh and all districts. They met representatives of all - employees, students, farmers, politicians etc. They met experts with economic and administrative experience. They went through the district level data for all parameters including literacy, GDP, agriculture, irrigation, per capita income etc. This is the conclusion they came to after their survey of all districts:
- The SKC remarked that "It is a fact that most of the economic and developmental parameters show that Telangana (excluding Hyderabad city but including Hyderabad suburbs) is either on par with or a shade lower than Coastal Andhra. (2.15.03 on Page 119)
- In comparison with the Rayalaseema region, the SKC remarked that "Thus, on the whole, it would appear that the deprived region is Rayalaseema not Telangana" (2.15.03 on Page 119)
And, the most preferred option:
"Keeping the State united and providing for creation of a statutorily empowered Telangana Regional Council for socio-economic development and political development of Telangana region."
Then, they said they want it for 'Self Respect'
>In a democratic country who stole their self respect? Is it KCR? Is it their politicians?
Then they said they want it for'Self Rule'
>I dont understand this. Do they mean to say they dont recognize the Indian Union?!!! As citizens, they are free to vote and elect any party of their choice.
Then they said its because it was already developed when AP was formed. "Seemandhra people 'looted' Telangana since 1956", they said.
> Is it backward or developed - first decide that! Initially didn't they say it was backward?
Since Hyderabad is capital of the state of AP, people from all disctricts of the state migrated here in search of a livelihood and settled here in the last 60 years. This was largely because there was no major source of employment in other parts of the state; Hyderabad was and still is the major economic engine of the state. This is very common, has happened all over the country. Examples, Mumbai in Maharashtra, Chennai in Tamil Nadu etc Is this called looting?
Then they said they want it because it is liberated from India. They didn't want to join Indian Union (Weirdest reason!)
>Post liberation and integration of dominions of Ex Hyderabad state into Indian Union, districts with Telugu speaking people in Madras, and Hyderabad states were combined to form Andhra Pradesh state. Now separatists are claiming the legacy of ex ruler of Hyderabad Nizam! Amazing because Telangana people fought the tyrannical Nizam (Telangana Sayudha Poratam) and his loyal servants the mostly Velama and Reddy Doras (zamindars). In this fight they received moral and physical support from Andhra communists.
To be continued...
